CDBurnerXP Portable: Disc burning app for your USB flash drive
Sure, the price is right, but there's another thing that sets CDBurnerXP apart from most commercial apps: it comes in a portable version. In other words, you can download, unzip, and run CDBurnerXP from your hard drive, a USB flash drive, or any other media. There's no need to install it.
The portable version of CDBurnerXP isn't updated as frequently as the normal version. But you can always find the lastest build on the portable download page. The latest version of CDBurnerXP is 4.2.2 and contains some bug fixes you won't find in the most recent portable version which is 4.1.2.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Not to be a prick, but you guys covered this 1000000 times before. Looks like you're running out of material.
Also, down with artificial pacing! You guys should post something as soon as you write it.. All your posts are timed too perfectly (1:00PM 2:00PM 3:00PM etc.)
I feel like I'm being lied to by a major corporation.

This is the first time we've ever covered the fact that there's a portable version of this app.

I agree with you.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I really don't. I know you guys are going through some tough time with AOL screwing over.
But you guys covered portable apps plenty of times and provided links to sites with portable apps. Your readers would've found it. (CDBurner XP is in this post, just over a month old: http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/09/02/24-killer-portable-apps-for-your-usb-flash-drive/)
How about some new stuff? The EFI-X usb stick, is it worth it? Can't get your hand on one? Then what are other people saying about it?
Again, I don't want to sound ungrateful, I really like this site and would hate to see it go down. Maybe time for another "So you wanna write for downloadsquad?" post.

Also, I don't know where to submit tips but foxmarks can now sync passwords. I think that's pretty post worthy.

Yeah, I've been meaning to take the new Foxmarks for a spin, but I've been too busy to really put it through the paces. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks!

I don't know if you tried but see if you can burn a audio CD and actually listen to the tracks. I made quite a few coaster of tracks with no sound/music.
Give Deep Burner a try: http://www.deepburner.com/ There is also a portable version.

It should also be noted that it came out with a new version a few days ago.
It burns "any Data on CD-R/CD-RW/DVD+R/DVD-R/DVD+RW/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM/BD/HD-DVD, including double layer mediums".
As for mtozor's problem the only time I have ever had problems using CDBurnerXP is when I got a bad spindles of brand name CDs. By the way, if you have that problem check out the support site for the brand of discs you had problems with and sometimes they with replace them under warrenty. In my case I got a box of slim case CD-Rs with a couple of extra discs just incase.

I don't know if it's just me or what, but I burn more coasters with CDBurnerXP than any other burning app I've ever tried. I've installed in on XP Pro, XP Home, and now Vista. Same story every time. I seriously don't get all the hype.
