Where is your username registered? Find out with Usernamecheck
There are a lot of advantages to using the same username for all your online services. It's easier to remember, and friends can find you more easily. If you're someone who's in this habit, you might want to take a look at Usernamecheck, a site that tells you which sites your favorite username is registered at. Usernamecheck scans 60+ different networks, from 12seconds to Zooomr, and tells you if your name is taken. Or, if you're an Internet addict like me, it might remind you of sites you signed up for and forgot about. Either way, it's worth a look.

This can also be a good tool for a hacker who has gotten your username and password. Now he can log in to all the sites you have accounts on, and really wreak havoc. Terrible.

It's not like a determined person with your username and password wouldn't try your username at different sites anyway. Also, if your passwords are the same at every site you use that username for, you should probably fix that right away.

Typo:
towards the beginning, "name" should be "same"
And this isn't a security issue, you can always google someone's username anyway, it should bring up all those sites too.

Fixed the typo. Thanks, Taylor! I agree with you on the security implications, as well.
