Defragment multiple drives simultaneously with Smart Defrag

Smart Defrag is a free disk defragmenting utility from IOBit. There are a few things that set this program apart from other defragmenting tools like Defraggler, JkDefrag and UltimateDefrag.

First, Smart Defrag can defragment several hard drives or partitions at once. In my tests, it did a complete scan of a 20GB partition and a 70GB partition in a matter of seconds. Smart Defrag can then either defragment the disks in question, or defragment and optimize the disks by arranging data for the best possible performance.

Smart Defrag also includes a handy scheduling utility which allows you to schedule daily, weekly, monthly, or one time disk defragmenting jobs. You can also have the application run when you first boot your system, when your computer is idle, or at regularly scheduled intervals (like every two weeks). If you're the sort of person who keeps putting off the task of defragmenting your hard drive, this feature could really come in handy.

Hey is this better than the regular defrag of XP and/or Vista? I know I can do monthly defrag with Vista and there's a diagram visible on XP showing if it is defragged HDD or not.

I'm very disappointed that DownloadSquad recommend software from a blatant SPYWARE distributor.
just go to smart defrag's website, click on "Why Choose It" and scroll down a bit. you'll see a huge list of blatant spam links, some of those include
http://www.iobit.com/disneychannel-com.html and http://www.iobit.com/blog/free-porn-movies-videos-clips.html
once you click on those links, you'll see that all the images are links to google for "auto insurance" referral url.
download link will give you some self-extracting .exe rar file which automatically extracts and runs the file inside with /verysilent install option...

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT SOFTWARE FROM THIS WEBSITE!

While I'll agree that the webpage mentioned above has links at the bottom, I don't see how this classifies the software as "spyware". In fact, many sites list this as NOT containing spyware at all.

So, although the webpage may have "bad" links in there, the software is not necessarily "SPYWARE" because of it. Can you tell us if you have installed it and THEN noticed spyware because of it?

I saw the links when the page loaded, then they were hidden by some scripts. They are there! View the source of the page and you will see them.

AND of course there is a link to spyware remover on the bottom.

I daily defrag with Diskeeper, you can set it to defrag at screensaver, it's really a great app.

I use Puran Defrag (http://www.puransoftware.com). It can defrag at boot or in the background at an interval of your choosing.

I like Power Defragmenter (a GUI frontend for contig.exe) because it's from SysInternals. I've never had a problem with it, and it seems both faster and more effective than the built-in defragmenter.

Civiballs is a beautiful, soothing physics puzzle Time Waster

I have an absolute weakness for physics games, and while Civiballs isn't the strongest physics-based game, what it lacks in the physics department it makes up for a few times over in style and fun.

In Civiballs, you are presented with a few colored balls, and your goal is to get those balls into the same-colored urn on the level. The "civi" part of Civiballs is that there are 3 sets of levels to play, each representing a different civilization. While the civilization doesn't affect gameplay, the artwork for each level is beautifully themed to it's appropriate era.

To play the game, you are given only one tool - a sword with which to cut the chains that are holding the balls. The puzzle part of the game is in figuring out what order, and with what timing to cut each chain. Do it right, and all the right balls end up in the right urns, with no stray balls entering an urn (a no-no). Do it wrong, and you get to start over again.

Civiballs is not terribly deep on gameplay; the entire game can be completed in about 15 minutes. But if you enjoy this type of game, it will be a very enjoyable 15 minutes.
