What's your Hue IQ?

The test indicates which hues you see best and also lets you compare your results with others in your gender and age range. I wasn't too thrilled when I got a 61 until I found out someone scored over 1,000. Wow.
For most people, this is just a fun little time-waster (or a way for you super-competitive types to beat up on your pals -- "Dude, I see olive-green better than you!"). For anyone in Web or graphic design, however, it might be an interesting little test to see how your eyes measure up.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

I suspect that the results will say more about the quality and colour calibration of users' monitors than their actual eyesight. I'm sure as heck not going to attempt the test on this laptop of mine, and my desktop monitor is on the wrong continent.

initial test i got a 4. i agree with sockatume in that it seems that monitor quality plays a large part into how well someone does on this exam. when i design webpages i have to do a check on multiple monitors to make sure it isn't just my screen that has enough contrast

I got a 4, but I spend a lot of time looking at colors as a web developer and graphic designer. Cool test.

Got a 4, as well...
I wonder if LCD screens help/hurt on this test? I could swear I could see some distortion in the colors (maybe my mind was making it up)... I'm gonna ask them to add another parameter for LCD/CRT in the final classification quiz...

I got perfect as well (zero).. and I have a crap monitor.
The trick I learned a long time ago to help with color checking was to actually view the colors in a blurry state. If you squint a bit to make the color swatches blend you can see the differences a little better.

I got a zero ("You have perfect color vision!") - but I am using a recently calibrated monitor. What's amusing to me is that I just switched from an x-rite calibration device to a datacolor one... the x-rite DTP94 was old and wouldn't calibrate LCDs properly.

Perfect score here.
I might retest with an uncalibrated monitor at home and compare the results.
