Download all your tagged Facebook pics with a new app
Alana Taylor is probably best known for writing a song about Twitter, but maybe not for long. She's also just released a Facebook app that you might find handy. If you go to a lot of tech-savvy social events, like Alana, or if you just have friends who like to play Facebook paparazzi, you've probably wished you could grab all the tagged pictures of you in one fell swoop. That's what this new app, the accurately-named Get My Tagged Pics, can do for you. It displays all your tagged pics in rows of 10, and lets you download each row as a zip. This is good, because it's halfway between the one-at-a-time method and the other extreme of grabbing hundreds (or maybe thousands!) of pics in one huge file. Sure, it could let you select 10 at a time, but clicking to select wouldn't be any faster than clicking to download. One click is all you need, here.
So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Isn't this the sort of thing that got Scoble booted?

Not exactly. As I understand it, Scoble was scraping contact info for his Facebook friends. Information about them that they had already shared with him. This is just information about you, and they're photos you could already download one-by-one anyway, so I guess I don't see the analogy.

I still am waiting for a way to extract contact info to Address Book in OS X. It used to be a feature but they got rid of it.

Jay - Is there a Facebook app that allows you to grab hundreds of photos at a time??

Haven't heard of one, just speculating that it's theoretically possible. I don't think it would conflict with the terms of service or anything, but it might be inconvenient. Let's say you use it once, but then 10 more pics are added ... I wouldn't want to download them all again, just to get the 10 new ones. (Maybe it could keep track of what been added since the last use. That would be nice.)

It's good to share the happy and sad times, exchange photos with friends.
Big ups to all that have tried to do this. Looking forward to meeting those that are connected to this network.
