Firefox 3.1 To Add Private Browsing?
With similar features already built in to Safari, IE8, and Google Chrome, the Mozilla gang is once again looking to add private browsing to Firefox. While the Stealther addon can already provide this functionality, FIrefox is looking to implement it in the 3.1 release before year's end.
The goal will be to store as much data from private browsing sessions as possible in memory to avoid writing to the hard drive. Information that users save explicitly - bookmarks, for example - will still be written to the disk. Subtlty appears to be a goal as well, since IE's Inprivate mode notification "is fail," according to developer Mike Connor. I'll assume he's not a fan of Chrome's tiny Spy Guy either.
Why add the feature? There are a number of reasons given at the wiki, including planning a surprise party, viewing porn, or cheating on your spouse. I believe I see a pattern forming. Others - like me - probably just want the assurance of being able to browse without leaving traces of activity on a local machine.
Specifics about Mozilla's goals for private browsing can be viewed at the wiki.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Yo. Normally I would agree with you that the author[s] on this site don't do more than 3 minutes of research but in this case they are right. Stealther 1.06 works with all versions of Firefox (1.0 - 3.0)

You really are an idiot.
You should take your advice and research first.
Stealther works for Firefox 3.0+.

Look dude, I didn't want you to get angry with my post but apparently you are too sensitive. And CT A must have emotional issues for getting so angry as well. But for your information, I am using Stealther right now and it works fine. When I turn it on, any page I go to does not save data on my hard drive.

Seems like you won't take your advice.

"Works with:
* Firefox: 1.0 – 3.0.*"
Wait.. what does that say? Does it say WORKS with Firefox 3.0?
Yes it does.
Both WORKS and RUNS are acceptable. Learn the semantics of English before criticizing.

A valid use of this I suppose will be those people who use public PCs, like in libraries, etc.
If they can remember to turn it on and know it's there in the first place.
OK very unlikely I know. ;-)
