Quick Media Converter converts media... quickly
Now let's get something out of the way here. Quick Media Converter is basically just a fancy front end for the open source, command line FFmpeg media encoder. But it's a really useful front end. The utility offers you two interfaces: an easy mode and an expert mode. In easy mode, you can choose from a number of predefiined formats. So just select the media files you want to convert, and click the Audio, Quicktime, WMV, DiVX, Xbox, PS3, or Wii button to create a file optimized for your system of choice.
In Expert mode, you have much more control over the code choices and settings. For example, in easy mode, there's no way to convert a FLAC file to OGG. But you can do that in expert mode.
The program also includes a bundled copy of CamStudio for making screencapturs which you can then convert to other formats using Quick Media Converter. In a nutshell, Quick Media Converter doesn't do anything that MediaCoder doesn't. But if you're looking for an even easier to use alternative, this program might be worth a look.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...

Is there any app can convert entire DVD without breaking into chapters?

I can strongly recommend Handbrake. You need to use e.g. DVDDecrypter to actually copy the disc, but once you have the unprotected VOBs it does a great, great job converting.

Might be a good alternative to Mediacoder, I'll give it a try.
Also, Cartoon Network's lawyers would like a word with you. :P

Sadly nothing beats super
They have the most atrocious website ever, it is almost impossible to download from their website, and their install name is the most retarded ever as well, but it is still the best media converter program out there.

Ah, but can it convert m4p to mp3? That is the question! Down with DRM!

yet another piece of software that doesn't cater for those of us that use 5.1 channel audio. There's no freeware out there (and most paid for software too) that allows us with 5.1 channel video camera's to convert our footage while keeping the multi-channel audio (no dolby licence would be needed if they just used a pass through and left it untouched!)

I'm not sure, but I think the latest version of Super supports 5.1. But feffrey above is right: While it's free, it's a bit hard to download.

As with all other programs i've tried, conversion from .swf to whatever format fails, sound but no video.

I could never get MediaCoder to work properly - plus the interface is so cumbersome and not very explanatory. They have to rehaul it somehow.

I found that mediacoder had problems converting certain filetypes, leaving a rather horrid sound quality

after install QM converter, my win2K PC behave like as if attacked by viruses. The mouse pointer jumps once in awhile and every time when i input something, seems key-logger is doing the job back ground with obvious lag time. After I deleted QM converter, everything back to normal. I will do a through virus and spyware scans when I've time tomorrow as well to prevent when it said not what it is.
