The road to becoming a sushi chef is a long and hard one. Over 10 years are spent learning this culinary art form. From proper handling of the fish to mastering the intricate knife work, the dedication required is truly amazing. But if you're not sure that the profession is right for you why not fill in as a sushi chef for a week at Sushi Go Round.Like any good sushi chef your goal is to keep your patrons happy by preparing their orders correctly and timely. When a customer places an order consult your recipe book, create it and send the dish down the conveyor belt. If you don't follow the recipe correctly your end product will be a turd of a dish, so no improvising here.
In addition, you'll have to also play executive chef keeping tabs on inventory, ordering when supplies are low. And if you're not careful, you may end up with no ingredients to make your dishes. In order to keep your customers happy you can certainly offer them some sake while you pay extra to have your deliveries rushed.
As you progress further into the week your menu expands and your daily goal increases. But remember a sushi chef is rooted in honor and tradition so keep your skills as sharp as your knives and press forward!
