Switchabit Multitasks Your Blogging For You

Maintaining your online presence can be such a giant pain in the ass nowadays since your followers are looking for constant updates on three hundred different web sites. It's especially annoying to try and publicize your new blog post manually after you've spent precious minutes of your morning typing and re-typing it.

Thankfully, the folks at switchAbit have been gracious enough to develop a web app for us that handles cross-site posting for us. What's not to love about an app that makes it appear as though you're doing much more work than you actually are?
The system isn't quite perfect, but we're willing to let that go since they're still technically in beta. Posts that sync from Wordpress to Blogger, for example, get cut off at the "more" tag without creating link to the source article, which makes them look as though they were posted accidentally. Easy enough to solve, just post your full article to Wordpress first, then split the post after switchAbit does it's thing. Ba-da-bing!

Twitter syncing workers amazingly well. Switchabit even goes so far as to set up a bit.ly shortened URL that points back to your original post in its Tweets. If Hell were to freeze over and Twitter should happen to go down, switchAbit will queue your update and submit it later when things are working again. Tumblr and Facebook updates worked flawlessly for short-text entries.

Switchabit will make people think you're some sort of robotic-octopus-mutant-blogger. We're impressed so far, and we're certain this is going to be a really great app by the time it's ready for release. Go check out the Beta and kick the tires!
