Acronym Finder helps you make sense of the senseless
Of course, knowing that AFL-CIO stands for American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations doesn't necessarily help you figure out exactly what the organization does.

Only problem is that "DLS", "NSA" and the like are abbreviations, not acronyms. "FISA" is an acronym (as well as an abbreviation). What's the difference? I'll save you a trip to a good dictionary: acronyms are meant to be easily pronounceable abbreviations. Unpronounceable ones like "DLS" can't be acronyms.
