Tofu makes on-screen reading actually bearable
If you're like us, you have to read long blocks of text on a monitor all the time, and it's kind of a pain for your eyes. E-books and long PDF articles would be great if they could somehow get diced into neat, readable columns. Hey, it works for newspapers. Well, Tofu brings that pleasant reading experience to the Mac.In a nutshell, Tofu cuts up what you're reading -- whether it's a PDF, a doc, or a chunk of text you've selected -- into columns. This is a good, because monitors are wider than the human eye is really comfortable with, and columns fit the text into your optimal scanning area for easy reading. Tofu's full screen mode and adjustable text size and colors are crucial, too. This app is good enough that we'll think twice before printing out something we can just read in Tofu.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

There used to be a multi-column HTML tag, back in the day. I don't think it was ever made official though, it was probably one of the browser-specific ones.

yeah, it flickers all over and i think it goes backwards. (possibly to emulate turning pages or something? it doesn't work right at all.)
i make sure not to touch the touchpad while using it.

I was really happy with the way arrow-key scrolling worked in Tofu.

That's exactly what I'm getting, flickering and going backwards. Yes jay, the arrows work but I much prefer the nuanced control of two finger scrolling on my macbook.

Well, a lot of developers do read Download Squad, so maybe they'll take notice and try to improve the two-finger scrolling behavior. That would be great, because I've been using the heck out of Tofu.
