Mozilla - They're UnbeWeaveable

Have no fear, Mozilla Weave is here!
With Mozilla Weave you can sync all of your bookmarks, history, cookies, saved form data, and now passwords (for the first time!) with any computer with Firefox on it.
You can get the official Mozilla Weave plug-in here: https://services.mozilla.com/
Do you have multiple computers running Firefox (or any other browser) and use another plug-in or service to stay synced up? Let us know in the comments!

Now if they wanted to get really impressive they could sync extensions (with settings) as well. I'll stick with Foxmarks for the time being, but this looks pretty nice.

I use FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) and it works very well. It backs up EVERYTHING, including extensions and their settings.

I never heard of this before. I have been using foxmarks for about a couple years now I think. Works great, but only does bookmarks. Guess I might have to give this a try. Thanks for the tip :)

LOL why are you still using FF2???
Enrique said 9:23AM on 5-29-2008
Why am I using FF2? Because FF3 is still a Release Candidate. There are enough memory hogging problems with Version 2 that I figure there have to be all sorts of bugs with RC1... is that not the case? Can I upgrade to FF3 without worry?

To my point. I just installed FF3 and half of my extensions are no longer 'compatible.' And when I initially opened FF3, it crashed immediately. I had to run it in safe mode with all the extensions disabled, then one by one figure out which one was causing the crash (PicLens).
And that's why I was still using FF2

I used google browser sync since it came out with the last update (2006). I've been using weave since ffx b4. The latest update for weave is much more reliable than the last.

I've been using IE7Pro to sync my IE (duh) bookmarks between notebook, home and work PCs. I'll be using Weave as soon as Firefox 3 goes gold, but I'm sticking with IE for now.

I use FoxMarks to sync bookmarks. Free, works great, and I can get to my bookmarks from any machine/any browser by logging into http://login.foxmarks.com/. Sweet.

I use Firefox at home on 2 computers. I sync the whole profile folder with unison (a great sync / backup tool), so all extensions and all settings are perfectly in sync.
My bookmarks are stored at del.icio.us, and of course, I use the del.icio.us extension which brings all my online bookmarks right into the browser.

It would be great if there would be a way to save it to another server. I don't have enough trust to save my private user data on a server that I don't own. Sure, encryption is used and blabla... but nottin' is 100% secure... or maybe it will be a some dissapointed Mozilla developer ;-) kidding..
But that's the thing I love when I use Foxmarks... I CAN use my own ftp server!

bookmark sync and sort. I prefer to have it on my own server.
