Favrd - Twitter with none of the "webcock"
Believe us when we say that we know you're sick of hearing about Twitter, but there's a good reason it's one of Download Squad's favorite toys. We often find out about new software on Twitter before it gets blogged anywhere else, and the readers reap all the benefits. And did we mention that some people's Twitter streams are flat-out hilarious? Favrd, a new service from Dean Allen, will help you find some of the best. It keeps track of which posts people are marking as favorites, so you only have to read the good stuff. Dean also uses a mysterious algorithm to filter out "webcock," a term he coined to describe "online-marketing, web-strategy, killer-startup cheerleaders/water-carriers." Quick comment folks.... anytime you start out with "We know you're all sick of hearing about XXXXX, BUT..." Stop. Consider that if you're aware enough to point it out, that it's 2~3 times more true than you even know.
Talk about driving home the point that I want to have absolutely nothing to do with the... um, thing. Keep posting, it'll only make others sick of hearing about it... or worse, push them to the point that they deem your blog trash. Not worth the time to read.... no visits, no need for the blog, no money for you. I'm about there already.
Please, stop with the twitter items. For the Love of All That is Good!

I noticed there was no RSS feed for that service, so I scraped one with Dapper and ran it through FeedBurner - if you'd like to subscribe.
