Campus Destinations helps you navigate college campuses
The service includes listings for academic, residential and other buildings on a handful of US university campuses. There are also listings for nearby restaurants and other destinations. You can find directions from one spot to another by entering items like "art building," and "library" rather than street addresses. Currently 10 university campuses are covered, but we're hoping to see more added soon.

GoogleMaps works fine for me especially at MSU.
I'll type in the city im in and search then type in the building on campus and it will find it. For Instance, East Lansing followed by Wells Hall or Computer Center.
I don't know about other campuses but it works fine like that for me.

Currently, Campus Destinations focuses on pedestrian mapping - therefore finding a building in a CITY may be fine, but think about the many universities around the country not on Google Maps radar. Moreover, Campus Destinations also spits out pedestrian directions that take into consideration several nuances of pedestrian routes / public transit routes that other systems don't come close to covering.
We will be coming soon to MSU and I'm sure you'll see the difference.

I could have used this 4 years ago! University of MD college Park is a bit daunting at first, but now I know it pretty well. And I never even attended school there.
