Google Analytics benchmarking goes live
The opt-in only Bencharmarking feature of Google Analytics is now live. If you choose to enable this service (simply select, "share my Google Analytics data anonymously with Google products and the benchmarking service" in Analytics account settings), you can compare the data from your site with similar sites or sites in a similar category.
It's pretty neat to compare the traffic statistics (as well as bounce rates, length of time on site, visitor loyalty) to other sites of the same size, if for no other reason than voyeuristic curiosity or ego stroking.

YouTube 2007 Video Award Winners
The winners of the 2007 YouTube video awards have been announced, yeah, we didn't know YouTube had its version of the Cable ACE Awards either -- but congratulations to all the winners.

Google Apps get newest Gmail features
Good news for Google Apps users -- the upgraded Gmail features rolled out last fall are now being implemented in Google Apps accounts across the board. If you haven't already opted-in to get updates as the roll out (check out this post for details on how to get new updates as they are available), you can expect to start seeing the new features now or in the next few days.
