Songza gets a memory, adds some new bling

On our second episode of the Squadcast (we've improved our production quality since then, we swear) we interviewed Songza founders Aza Raskin and Scott Robbin. Even in its early stages, we were super impressed with Songza, a site that makes it easy to find a play various music tracks, share them with friends and purchase favorites, but with a truly superb user-interface.

Now Songza offers users even more options. According the the Songza team, the ability to save playlists has been the most requested feature. That feature has been added. Once you register for a free Songza account, you can save your playlist. The user profile page is simple and intuitive, and we have a feeling it's the sign of more networking/sharing features to come.

The Songza interface has been updated too. The same overall style that we know and love remains, but there is now more emphasis on a users playlist (which is always present on the right-hand side of the page). Additionally, a "Most Played" tab has been added to the search area. The Songza interface is what really sets the site away from other music search engines. It is easy to use, clean to look at and fast loading. Now, it's even better.

The new Songza playlist interface

In the last few weeks, Songza has also implemented some features that make sharing tracks with people online even easier. For instance, not only can tracks be e-mailed or embedded into a website, they can also be posted to a user's Twitter account. This is a great way to easily share a new song or an old favorite, and it can be done without having to leave the Songza web page.

Songza's new profile page - your playlist remains in view at all times

Songza also makes buying tracks very easy - with direct links to a band's Amazon.com page and Google Discography results page.

If you haven't checked out Songza, it's definitely worth a look.

The World's Hardest Game 2.0 - Time Waster

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do. Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
