Instant Eyedropper: Find the color code for anything on your computer
Once Instant Eyedropper is running, all you have to do is click on the icon in your system tray and keep your mouse button down as you drag your cursor to a spot on your screen. The program will display the color code whether you're hovering over an image, web page, or pretty much anything else. Note that it doesn't appear to work with videos, but seriously what were you trying to use it on a video for anyway?
Instant Eyedropper will also automatically copy the color code to your clipboard, so you can paste it into your image editor or web design application.

Awesome find! There have been many a times when creating website profiles and such things where I have wanted to make the colors match something else and now this will definitely make things easier!

It doesn't work properly on a dual monitor setup, or at least when the secondary monitor "extends" the primary one.
Another lightweight color picker is Huey.

Huey works with dual monitors.

I like the built in color picker with FastStone Capture whcih magnifies the screen so you can really be precise. Plus it comes with the best screen capture utility ever!

Great find. A Linux alternative I use and recommend is gcolor2...
sudo apt-get install gcolor2

Too bad none of these work with Vista. :-(
I used Nattyware's Pixie colour picker all the time when I was on XP...
