Google Docs gets a redesign

If you are a frequent user of Google Docs, you have probably noticed the changes made to the toolbar earlier this week. The toolbars for document editor, spreadsheet and presentations now bare a striking resemblance to the pre-Office 2007 Office toolbar interface. We think these subtle adjustments are great improvements and will make Google Docs easier to use.

Opera Mobile goes Google

A little more than a year after signing an agreement with Yahoo oneSearch, Opera will switch to Google as its default search engine for its mobile product line. Opera, which has two mobile products, Opera Mobile and Opera Mini, will implement the changes next month. Google has been the default search engine for the Opera desktop browser for the last seven years, and was the default mobile search engine before last year's Yahoo! agreement took place.

While this is great news for those of us who are frustrated by Yahoo!'s search tool on our Windows Mobile or Blackberry devices, we wonder how this will affect Yahoo!'s standing with already angry shareholders.

AdSense updates terms and conditions

Google has updated the terms and conditions to its AdSense program. The changes affect future products and features and overall privacy requirements. Language has been updated to include anticipated and potential product features and additions. The privacy policy has also been made more explicit so that publishers now have to make visitors aware of any cookies and other data tracking mechanisms used on their sites.

Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...
