Customize your Windows boot screen with BootSkin
There are plenty of programs out there that let you skin Windows to make it look like Linux, OS X, another version of Windows, or something else altogether. But if you're just tired of looking at your Windows 2000 or XP bootup screen while waiting for your computer to start, all you need is BootSkin. This free application lets you replace your Windows splash screen with another image. There's a huge library of available splash screens at WinCustomize, with images ranging from the often-appropriate pirate flag to the ironic Windows ME boot screen.
BootSkin is available as a free download from Stardock, the same company behind the commercial Windows skinning application WindowBlinds and program launcher ObjectDock.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
They key to getting good at Graveyard Shift is learning to use ...

"I have used BootSkins for a couple of years now. it is very safe and stable."
Actually, programs that are very safe and stable are the ones that don't bluescreen your system. This app is very iffy.

This program bluescreens your (XP) PC on bootup. Happened to me, and do a search on vidstub.sys and you'll find it's very common. Poisonous program, Download Squad, you should take down this post entirely.

Bluescreened and Rebooted my PC the first time I had restarted my computer after installing. Luckily it rebooted fine w/o having to go back to 'last known good'. All to just change one screen. Pointless and the program behaves badly. It does not even change the log in/log out screens. Just the loading screen. Blech.

I have used BootSkins for a couple of years now. it is very safe and stable. If you are interested at wincustomize.com they have tutorial on how to make your own.
It is limited as it uses the same architecture as the default boot screen.
I also recommend Logon Studio from Stardock. It lets you customize your Welcome Screen with new skins and interfaces. It is also free and also uses Windows account logon interfaces architecture.
