Remember how the world ended in Y2K? You know, power went out around the world, airplanes fell from the sky and all the nuclear warheads stored in government bunkers just up and exploded. AOL pulls the plug on Netscape Navigator
There was a time when Netscape Navigator was the tool for browsing the web. And then Microsoft Internet Explorer came along. AOL bought Netscape in 1999 for a ridiculous amount of money and then proceeded to kill the brand name over the next 8 years. This week, this blog's parent company announced that it will finally put the grandfather of Firefox out of its misery early next year.

Like Adobe Reader, but hate waiting a half hour for it to load on your PC? Adobe Reader Lite is a stripped down version of the PDF viewer that does loads in a fraction of the time, while retaining the most important features.
