Open Web Awards: Video Sharing
Dogs riding skateboards, guys with ridiculously low voices singing ridiculous songs, and cats playing the piano. You've seen them, you love them, you hate them. Either way, they're a fact of life. We're fairly certain that a day doesn't go by that you don't get an email from a friend, coworker, or relative asking you to check out some cute or disgusting video or other. When it comes to online video sharing sites, one name usually springs to mind. We won't name it here, because we don't want to influence your vote, but you know the site we're talking about. But while that particular site may have the largest user base, it certainly doesn't hold the title for best video player, or highest quality video streams. So where do you go when you're looking to watch or share videos?
You are voting for your favorite Application or Widget in the Open Web Awards, a distributed contest to find the best sites on the web. The top three sites in this category will proceed to the final round starting December 17th, and there will be an awards ceremony at the Palace Hotel, San Francisco on January 10th, 2008.

Even though I'm not an MS-fanboy of any kind, I'm quite surprised that MSN Video isn't even on the list.
It's practically gained 2nd in marketshare, recently, and yet it's not even on the list. Yet a bunch of other small sites are. - http://blog.compete.com/2007/11/27/online-video-rank-market-share-msn-surge-youtube-yahoo-aol-heavy/
I kind of like MSN Video, where the Flash UI is kind of interesting, and very easy to move across. And the video playlists ideas are pretty cool as well.

Sorry for the double posts. Whoops.
The commenting section for many of Weblogs, Inc. sites are rather tricky. And they're all different.
I thought you had to confirm before they landed on the site. Oh well.

According to Complete, MSN Video has the #2 marketshare behind YouTube/Google. Yet all these other sites are listed, and not a single shred of MSN Video. http://blog.compete.com/2007/11/27/online-video-rank-market-share-msn-surge-youtube-yahoo-aol-heavy/
I gave MSN Video a try, and I like it. The Flash UI isn't dreadfully slow, video playlists are ingenious, and it's far more easier to have extra tools to play with the videos. Just a thought. http://video.msn.com/

Dailymotion. Stage 6 is good, but it's quite slow on my browser but I think it's just another victim of shoddy mac support.
However, since this is a popularity/who can rouse their "community" to pitch the most votes, My calculator of most lax content policy*video quality+speed-adverts finds veoh the winner.
