Wave 2 includes updates to all your favorite Windows live services, including Messenger, Writer, Mail, Toolbar, Photo Gallery, and Family Safety. The application suite is x64 system compatible now, but other than that there don't seem to be a ton of new features other than the fact that several apps have new build numbers and they've all dropped the beta tag.

Have they fixed the fact that the Windows Live Photo Gallery is a poor replacement (and massive step down) from the Windows Photo Gallery included in Vista?

Have they fixed the fact that Windows Live Photo Gallery is a massive step down in functionality from the Windows Photo Gallery that comes standard in Vista, and is not fit to replace it, which it does by default when you install it?

I updated the apps and now I'm having some issues with WLM. Funny, I never had any issues when it was beta but the final release is buggy.

@Ryan Carter : So now it's wrong for every other company to put together a couple of their popular apps. in 1 install package?
@TurboFool: ?
I like how WLPG does panoramic stitch, and Flickr uploading. I use it on XP SP2, which is also awesome.

It's missing the ability to narrow down, in the left pane, by videos or photos (Vista has categories for both, while the Live version lumps them permanently together), and by rating (in Vista you can choose to view only photos with a certain star rating or, more importantly, photos that haven't yet been rated which is useful for finding images and videos you haven't had the chance to categorize yet). Those organizational functions became vital to me, and the lack of them in the Live version forced me to uninstall it within hours.
