I have an absolute weakness for physics games, and while Civiballs isn't the strongest physics-based game, what it lacks in the physics department it makes up for a few times over in style and fun.
In Civiballs, you are presented with a few colored balls, and your goal is to get those balls into the same-colored urn on the level. The "civi" part of Civiballs is that there are 3 sets of levels to play, each representing a different civilization. While the civilization doesn't affect gameplay, the artwork for each level is beautifully themed to it's appropriate era.
To play the game, you are given only one tool - a sword with which to cut the chains that are holding the balls. The puzzle part of the game is in figuring out what order, and with what timing to cut each chain. Do it right, and all the right balls end up in the right urns, with no stray balls entering an urn (a no-no). Do it wrong, and you get to start over again.
Civiballs is not terribly deep on gameplay; the entire game can be completed in about 15 minutes. But if you enjoy this type of game, it will be a very enjoyable 15 minutes.

Got it!
The direct link didn't do it, but going thru the Hotmail sign up page (clicking the "Get it free" button) as Naverous recommended did.

I got mine this afternoon.
I got 2 accounts! Both were luckily free. And just right.
@live.com sounds so much better than @gmail.com, or @yahoo.com, who both have an extra letter each.
I'm happy to get these accounts. I've been waiting for a long time.

The reason why you're all getting error messages is no doubt because you using firefox to sign up at live.com . As a rule if I want to update or download any Microsoft product I'll close down firefox and use IE 7.
Even using the firefox IE extension is not always a guarantee of success. Any of you who've received the error message may want to try this suggestion which I'm quite certain will resolve any error rmessages.
I myself emailed the live.com link to my gmail account downloaded the link in gmail via IE 7 without a hitch which I'm certain will work for all of you.

@Marc Savoy: Actually, I got my first live account on Firefox, and tested the process on Opera, too (which was successful). So this doesn't require IE.

tried to do the same for live.com but it's not available anymore - just hotmail.com

Naverous has your solution if you are getting an error. It worked for me. So I got the one I wanted. I may get another.

OK, I grabbed my name as well as my handle. I'm a happy person now. I probably should link them one of these days.

Just too bad... they still restrict the forward email options. Currently forward email only works for emails ending in hotmail.com, msn.com and live.com :(
