Cerulean is developing Trillian IM client to OS X
You've got friends using AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, and Google's instant messenger clients. You could install four different applications, or you could use a multi-protocol chat client like Pidgin, Miranda, or Trillian. For mac users, the undisputed champion of multi-chat clients is Adium. Like all things Mac, the program has a cult-following and probably for good reason. It's a robust chat application that works with more than a dozen different chat protocols.
But it's about to get some competition. Cerulean Studios, the company behind Trillian is working on a Mac version of their popular IM client. The Mac version is still in the early alpha testing phase and doesn't have all the features you can find on its Windows cousin. In other words, while you can test it out today, you probably won't feel any urge to stop using Adium. Eventually the developers plan to add features and full-fledged multi-chat client for OS X.
In order to sign up for the Alpha you'll need to sign up for an account using the Windows version of Trillian Astra.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. That is, until I tried the game.
The mechanics of the game are very simple. You are a small red square, ...

Dear Cerulean Studios - too little, too late. I wanted a OS X version 3+ years ago. I even asked for it in your forums. Silence. I've moved on.
Adium's been on OS X from the beginning. Loyalty and faith counts for something - they have mine.

Why bother? What could it offer that Adium doesn't?

hardly "best IM there was out there"
Miranda IM beats it in every single category.
there is absolutely nothing trillian can do that miranda can't.
the only reason somebody would use trillian is if they worked for Cerulean..and even then you should look for a better job

I use Adium because it's pretty, but I'm still waiting for a third party client that has webcam support. Sadly, Trillian has always struck me as lagging behind in the features department. The program just never seems to be updated. But this will be good for Windows switchers who are used to Trillian.

Trillian is a piece of trash. Not only is it bloated and poorly constructed, but it costs money as well. Why not choose the optimized, open-sourced, and highly customizable Adium? Guess a lot of people want to waste their time...
