I will not be upgrading to version 4 as it is built on Microsoft's .Net platform, which is utter crap. I'll be sticking to v.3.0.116.

.NET is no "utter crap". In fact, Vista includes it by default, so sooner or later you will *have to* use it anyway. But if the old version works fine for you - which contains open security holes btw - don't rant about the new version...
