Google on Search privacy and personalized search
Google is reaching out and letting us know that they honestly do care about privacy, and are putting continued efforts in place to protect their users. The Google blog has issued another video that talks about their privacy practices. The first one was all about Google collecting IP addresses, cookies and search queries. This one looks into improving search results through personalized search and learning how users work.
In the video, a Google support engineer takes us through the benefits of personalized search, and the privacy tools associated with searching. It talks about security concerns that people have had, and clarifies how personalized search through web history works with the user to obtain better search results while privacy is protected.
Do we feel a little more at ease about using Google's personal search? Oh Yes.
