Sony to shut down ImageStation online photo site
Sony seems to be gutting its online media offerings like a fish... or something else you gut. Last month we found out that Sony was closing its Connect music store. Now it turns out the company is also killing the ImageStation online photo sharing site.ImageStation is dying a slow death. You can no longer sign up for a new account. Some features will be shut down on November 12th, including image uploading, sharing, and shopping. The site will officially close on February 1, 2008.
In the meantime, Sony is offering current users the ability to transfer their photos to Shutterfly. You can also download high resolution images to your computer one at a time, which could take a while. Or for $7.49 per disc, you can order archived copies on CD or DVD.

So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. If Shutterfly isn't your thing, SmugMug is offering a 50% discount to Sony ImageStation refugees. And one of our users has created a super-fast migration tool that'll move all your photos over.

I'm not happy considering Imagestation is such a great site for photo sharing.... I am struggling to find anything close to what Imagestation offered.... well, not free anyway!

I was going to sign up for ImageStation, too bad they are shutting down now. Never got a chance to use it. I signed up with PhotoWorks and so far I like the experience. I have my own page to upload all my photos and there are web communities what I can put my pictures of my dog and vacation pictures or whatever. Probably pretty similar to what Imagestation was. I’m going to make some Christmas cards for my family pretty soon too.

Can any one please tell me a site where I can share my photos and the site sends me( or some how displays a notice) that the viewer has seen my photos. Image station had this option and I loved it. Thanks
