Side by Side Explorer makes Windows Explorer more useful
Side by Side Explorer is a handy utility that lets you create bookmarks for folders you frequently use. Just right click an icon in your taskbar and select the folder you'd like to open. But that's kind of an added bonus. Side by Side Explorer also lives up to its name and lets you open two Explorer windows at the same time, one next to the other.
A single left click brings up a window showing your default folder. A double click pulls up two windows. Side by Side Explorer is available for Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
It's not exactly tabbed browsing, but it's about as close as you can get without installing a Windows Explorer replacement like Xplorer2, ExplorerXP, or XYPlorer. Actually, now that we think about it, maybe you should just install one of those.
