Notepad2 - simple text editor with syntax highlighting
Notepad2 is a simple and quick text editor with the added benefit of offering syntax highlighting for many popular languages. It uses the Scintilla source code editing component, making it quite powerful for its size. It's hard to find much more to say about it; if you're looking for something that affords the simple user interface of Notepad and is nice and quick, Notepad2 appears to be a worthy successor.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

I used to use Notepad2 before finding Notepad++, I found Notepad++ to be more powerful than notepad2.

It's cool...but I wish there was something that closer-resembled Windows Notepad.exe...
I.e.: no "toolbar" (or a toggle switch...on/off...), no "line numbers" (or better yet, a toggle switch - cause I dont need line numbers when Im writing a journal or something, but do when Im writing HTML).
I always find myself running back to Windows notepad.exe hehe.
