Can anyone answer the following questions? before I pull what little hair I have left, out!
1 Which is the best/easiest website to download Google Earth from. even on broad band some of them take forever and give up at around 90%. I have a Compaq Evo N410c with Directx8.1 loaded as DX9 wouldn't load.
2 Why do some site offer the Earth for free while others including Googles own site seem to want money, while others want to give/sell me a package with a load of other software, some of which I've already got, some of which looks useless?
3 Can I get/Would I be better-off getting an older version (no interactivity)?
I remember downloading an older version about a year and a half ago on a windows 2000 machine with no problems - found the site, downloaded, end of chat. Trying to do it last night took three hours, and was a problematical nightmare resulting in several half finished Earth's on my desktop.
Any help greatfully received!!!
