Search Google without those pesky ads
Sure, Google makes most of its money by serving up relevant ads. So if you really like the service, maybe you should be willing to sift through a couple of advertisements to get your search results. But if you really want to snub your nose at the whole consumer culture thing, it looks like Google's provided a way to use the search engine without seeing a single ad.
You could also use browser plug-ins to achieve a similar effect, but this trick feels like it's officially sanctioned by Google, since, you know, it is. We're not entirely sure why Google would have created an ad-free search page, but it's nice to know it's there if you need it.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

this makes me sad. google offers some of the most useful services on the web, almost all of which are free, and supports itself with the most unobtrusive and personally relevant advertisements it can serve. they keep them out of your way, never use banners or anything that flashes or moves...why try and circumvent that? you want to adblock the ^@#$ out of myspace? i don't blame you. but google really tries not to be obnoxious and they do a good job. show some love, people.

The page lacks a "I'm Feeling Lucky" button and the useful links to search images and various other things though, so it's not very suitable for my own use.

esin- Have you seen the recent Ads they are releasing with YouTube videos? Obviously not!
Maybe you're just an Affiliate Marketer? These ads are mostly just a money making opportunity for google and a waste of space for consumers..
its better finding sites which actually work hard to get their organic listings up there..

I could take it or leave it. Why not simply load up your own safe search on your home site if you don't like the home page? Regarding the results, this is nifty, and for those who know, a nice option to exercise.

I've never actually had a problem with Googles ads. They aren't the huge, flashing ones that take over the screen and play a movie trailer at least... And sometimes they are actually relevant to me.
