17 Must have applications for the Ubuntu user
With the recent release of Ubuntu 7.04 -- and the lackluster reviews of Vista -- a whole new round of Linux converts will take to the streets. But, what will they use for software? Although Ubuntu includes some awesome apps that many people use daily, this list adds 17 more that you'll find useful. Obviously a list of Ubuntu add-ons can't be complete without Automatix2, and there are some head-smacking obvious finds among the other 16 but, you might find a few others surprising. I've been trying out Ubuntu for about 4 days now. I love it. One problem, though. 2 days ago my sound stopped working. I've scoured the internets trying to find a solution. I've tried them all and still I have no sound. It's making me want to give up on Ubuntu. Too bad. It's otherwise perfect.
