Turbo Tax electronic filing system overloaded on Tuesday
It's not been a great week for Turbo Tax. First it comes out that there's a security flaw allowing uses to see tax returns uploaded by other customers. And now parent company Intuit is confirming that all the last minute filings on Tuesday night bogged down the company's online tax filing system, leaving some customers unable to e-file.Intuit says the problems with their servers have been fixed, and is telling customers to try electronically filing their taxes again. Intuit is working with the IRS to ensure that late filings due to the system overload are not treated as late.
If you refile and get a message sayin that your return has already been filed, you will need to call Turbo Tax support in order to verify that your documents have already been accepted by the IRS.
So, just how good at time waster games are you? Think you've got the stuff? Well, The World's Hardest Game 2.0 doesn't think you do.
Yes, amazingly, it's possible to have a sequel to a game called "The World's Hardest Game". It doesn't seem logically possible, since if the first one was actually the world's hardest, how could another one come along and share the moniker? It made me doubt the name in the first place. Thurbo Tax is closed today. They have NOT fixed the filing problems as reported. We have constantly tried to file online without success. Old email auto response messages have an April 18th date.
God help Us All.

My AGI from last year was correct on my return and I verified this with the IRS, however, Turbo Tax says it was wrong and so my return has been rejected. The problem seems to be the prior year AGI was imported wrongly into the federal information worksheet. Even the IRS man said the software is wrong if he and I have the same data. So, I've paid, can't get hold of IRS without paying more. Don't know what to do. J
