Windows XP: The end is near

Windows XPIn the market for a new Windows-based PC, but don't feel like switching to Windows Vista just yet? You might want to take a look at the ticking clock.

APC Magazine reports that computer manufacturers will no longer have access to OEM editions of Windows XP come 2008. Nevermind that many computer users have issues with software incompatibilities and don't want to upgrade to Windows Vista.

Of course, if you walk into most stores that sell computers today, you're not going to see anything on the shelf running Windows XP. But you can still order plenty of PCs online that come with the operating system.
