After days of waiting (for us) and work behind the scenes (for them), the Linux Media Center Edition or LinuxMCE project has turned on the pilot light again. The project had been impossible to download after a recent (and unexpected) Digg.

If you're anxious to get your hands on LinuxMCE, which is a fork of the Pluto Home project designed to run on off-the-shelf hardware, you can grab the Install CD via Bittorrent, and the installer package for Ubuntu 6.10 from the LinuxMCE project site. You'll need both for a complete installation.
