The world is slowly turning paperless, ok not quite yet, but it's getting there with the help of Lyro. (Yes, it's a made up Web 2.0 word)Lyro's goal is to become the largest repository of online business cards helping everyone get found; Essentially a worldwide directory of professionals located in one digital location. It also serves as a way to contact potential customers, business partners, colleagues and acquaintances that is searchable through major engines like Google, Yahoo and Ask.
Currently operating in Beta form, Lyro cards are a free service, rather plain looking, and it takes a few minutes to sign up for. Further items in development that are really going to make this service rock are the ability to upload a profile picture, downloadable vCard, and fully customizable online card, however judging from the FAQ's it looks like these additions might come with a small fee when they are released.
I don't know if this is a labor of love or merely the brainchild of four very gifted games designers, but Level Up is a really weird mash-up of gaming elements that you have probably never seen in a Flash game before.
