Reaction to Google Apps Premier Edition
Google's own announcement was an eloquent introduction to a mighty shot off the MS port bow. The reaction has begun, and we'll be analyzing the impact of Google's first honest premium software service for some time. What do you think? Is Google really getting into Microsoft's enterprise space? Is this phase one of a larger plan? Or will they be content to provide just this until they've chipped away at MS's entrenchment?
As far as marketing goes, good on Google for not calling it Google Office (which is what we're calling it anyway, right?). Google Apps Premier Edition sounds so business-ready.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

And here's where geekbee gets proven wrong...
I was VERY excited about this release. I recently started a small biz and added some space to my hosting plan, but wasn't too excited about having to use Outlook and the chance of losing my emails if the comp crashed. I also knew I would eventually run out of space for my emails on the hosted server.
Google's solution is perfect for my needs. I get virtually unlimited email hosting and addresses with MY URL. Easy callibration and calendar planning, and the ability to access it from everywhere. I probably won't use everything it offers, but I switched everything over yesterday the second I heard about it.
I'm not too concerned about privacy issues, though I think it's weird that some bigger companies are going with this. What company invites advertising into their emails? (there may not be much or any there now, but we know it will be)
I only wish google had an easier way to check multiple accnts on one PDA.
