Send a Google Map smoke signal - Today's Time Waster
Do you have something to say to a friend, but don't want to send an email, and find it more appropriate to send something special instead. Cards are bland, so why not try sending a smoke signal overlaid on a Google map? MapMSG allows users to put a message on a landmark in Google Local maps through the use of Google Maps API, and email it to a friend. It's a free fun tool with no signup required, and it's a heck of a lot more fun than sending a plain text email or an online animated musical dancing card. Check out a sample here.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.
