Pubwalk makes planning a night out easier
If you're looking for somewhere to watch the big game today the site Pubwalk may be just what you're looking for.Somewhat similar to the site Mappyhour, Pubwalk uses Google Maps to find bars in your area. Pubwalk takes it a step further by combing the map with reviews and other information about local bars from CitySearch. The result: pure brilliance.
Pubwalk could be great for traveling in situations where you don't know anything about the town around you but want to plan an excellent night out on the town. At first glace it looks like it only covers huge metropolitan areas. If you type in your address with zip code it should work for everywhere in the US.
Pubs can be filtered by their user rating as well as what type of bar they are (Dive, Piano Bar, Karaoke etc). The map on the site shows you exactly where each pub is located so you can plan a pub crawl with bars in close proximity to one another, the map also notes where you can get "Late Night Eats" along the way.
Once you select all of the bars you're interested in visiting ad plan your pubwalk the site will tell you how long your estimated walk is as well as how long it will take you. You can save your walk to look at later, share it with friends, embed it in your website, print directions out to distribute to your friends, or view your route on your mobile phone.
