ConvinceMe-take your next argument online

I'm one of those people that will argue a point until I'm blue in the face. I'm right and there's nothing you can say to convince me otherwise. Launched today, ConvinceMe is a new site dedicated to arguing competitively not against one person, but against many.

ConvinceMe On the site you compete in Open Debates where you select one side of a debate, Competitive Debates where you can challenge another user to a one-on-one duel, and King of the Hill where the first user who gets 100 people to agree with them wins.

Current debates range from the serious silly such as Superman vs. Batman to global issues like the presidency and global warming. This morning in the wake of the launch of Windows Vista (win your copy here) a debate on Linux vs. Windows opened up. All of the debates allow you to explain your reasoning to others giving them the chance to side with you, or side against you. Debate winners receive points that translate into their rank on the site. Those who have a winning record and a high number of points will later be invited into a larger "Super Bowl of Debating" where they can win cash prizes.
