OMG, the hour is nearly upon us! At midnight Windows Vista will go on sale all around the world. Can you hear the excitement? Hmm, maybe if you took out your white earbuds. How about now?In case you found the other day's 10 reasons to upgrade (and 10 not to) less than convincing, PC World took a stab at it too, upping the ante by 50% with its 15 Reasons to Switch. Here's the first five:
- It's the Interface, Stupid (Aero is pretty)
- Flip Over Windows Flip 3D (Alt-Tab is pretty)
- Live Thumbnails (taskbar hover previews)
- Boost Performance With ReadyBoost (not just an energy drink anymore)
- Cool Performance Tools (Reliability and Performance Monitor)
Thrilling! Just. Thrilling. I, personally, will be asleep, because none of those stores are within 150 miles of me. No, really.
So, on the eve of The Big Release, it's time to take stock one last time. Cast your votes in our very last pre-launch poll:

I voted no, but only because my current rig cannot handle vista's pretty interface. I will probably get it pre-installed in the next PC I purchase.

Why the hell would you buy vista the day after it comes out. Personally, I am waiting until the major bugs are worked out. ;)

I will use Vista if I encounter it in a future job but right now I'm sticking to Windows 2000.
My main objection is the DRM and really this sounds like a good time to seriously consider Linux.

Microsoft is still trying to fix Windows 98 bugs, let alone all the "variations" in between. When Microsoft annonces a release to the public, that is their jargon for alpha test. Microsoft Beta test can be noted by their announcement of the first large Security release. Be serious, wait a year when prices and bugs will go down.

I'll wait a year or two until I have to.
For now, no programs I use need Vista nor do they look like they will for quite some time.
Plus Vista needs to do more then just "look pretty" and offer DirectX10 to make me want it.

Why to wait? Go and get it! It's a long research and time applied in it and Microsoft has checked every possible bugs;there is nothing harm in using Window Vista! If you are on a digital media field,it's better.
