Thunderbird 2 Alpha 1 in developers preview release

mozilla thunderbird preview releaseGet ready for the next release of Mozilla's Thunderbird email client. The new version is currently available in beta alpha, but only recommended to be used by developers for testing purposes only has a number of great new additions, namely:
  • Message tags
  • Folder views
  • Improved New Mail notification alerts
  • New Windows installer
  • Find as you type
  • Add-ons manager for extensions and themes
  • Extension system updates for enhanced security

I haven't used Thunderbird since an early release; this is really making me want to try it out again. Do you use Thunderbird regularly? If you don't, will you be willing to try this new release once it comes out?

Update: My mistake, it was Thunderbird 2 Beta 1 that was released this week. As noted by Claus.
