Give a web page a Fleck
Fleck was released on Friday at the TechCrunch party in NY. It's a pretty cool online service that lets users add notes to other web sites. There are tons of great uses for this collaborative annotation service. It could be used by designers, developers and their clients to simply ask for changes to certain areas on a website, or for anybody to place a comment on top of any web page to remark on content. The movable notes can also be edited and unique URLs can be sent out to friends to then view and edit. There are no downloads or installs required to use this service. Anyone can view it, but members are the only ones that can edit and create Fleck notes. Marshall Kirkpatrick has listed two other players in this area called TrailFire and Diigo. However, Trailfire requires a download, and Diigo doesn't look that great. If I would use anything to annotate on a website, I would definitely lean toward Fleck. Check out a Fleck sample I made for DLS.

Pretty cool!
I just might use this for some client work. As for your question (or note), I created the logo awhile ago when I was commissioned to basically give DLS its branding.

It doesn't work in IE? I don't see this being useful for developers then unfortunately. I use Firefox when I can and I love it but not having this work in IE is a business use killer.

Diigo is pretty good, though they could really use some UI designers and a quicker update schedule. They do a lot more than annotation.

@Kevin We are aware of the fact that IE support is a must for the usefulness of fleck. Working on it. Hopefully we can deliver at the beginning of December.

Fleck works for IE now too, as it should. And we even beat the deaddline of early december. The IE version was launched on november 28....
