Level Up! A platform-hopping RPG Time-Waster
I don't know if this is a labor of love or merely the brainchild of four very gifted games designers, but Level Up is a really weird mash-up of gaming elements that you have probably never seen in a Flash game before.
Let's start with the premise itself: Groundhog Day meets Memento. The game experience revolves around 'days': you explore the world and the clock slowly ticks towards the evening. You bounce around picking up gems and talking to the denizens of 'Level Upland'. Eventually you feel tired and head back to ...

We have an Odeo Comment button inserted into every podcast show notes. This is to invite people to send us an audio message. It is not that popular with our listeners... Why? Not sure, they have the option to "opt out" of it being played in the show but even so we get a message infrequently. We love them as they give listeners a chance to be on the show by proxy and it is fun and easy.
I don't think it gets any easier than Odeo, but still only the odd punter. Suprising really given your commentary.

I can see using audio for participation in podcasts and such (like the first comment), but I don't see the point in adding it to a website/blog/myspace - why not just add video? There's a big stigma on the web about audio that started with background music on Geocities websites, although it is somewhat diminished with the popularity of adding music to one's myspace page (which I find just as annoying as horrible MIDIs on a personal website).
So, no, I don't think that audio is the next big thing omg. Why should it be?
