Dodgeball gets teh Googlage
Dodgeball, everyone's favorite ubiquitous mobile presence/stalking utility, has just began allowing logins with one's Google account credentials. This isn't surprising in and of itself, seeing that the big G bought dodgeball quite a while back, the timing is a bit confounding. While dodgeball use is still strong with a small core group of users, mainly in San Francisco, the service has mostly dropped off the map to most potential clients. One would think that when opening the service up the entire Google user base, there would be some marketing push to get dodgeball back in the limelight, but as of yet nothing has shown up on the internets. In any case, this is certainly a sign of greater things to come; perhaps in the form of some GooTube integration. Chris Messina has some commentary on the matter.

With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

It looks like there is a spelling mistake on the word "the" right on the title itself.

Isn't this a side effect of the "new" google direction re: more features, more integration, fewer new projects?
All Google services under one signon (a la yahoo) and better integration between all of them (a la writely+spreadsheet).
