YouTube founders speak out on Google deal
In case you've been living under an incredible volume of sediment and hadn't heard, yesterday search giant Google acquired video giant YouTube for $1.65 billion in stock. YouTube has been surprisingly quiet about the deal so far, posting neither blog entries no press releases, but perhaps they're content to leave that up to their new parent company. YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen have, however, posted a video in which they talk about the acquisition, make some promises about what's in store for YouTube, and then completely crack themselves up. With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

Since they're getting $1.65 billion you'd think they could afford to go someplace better than a T.G.I. Fridays.

Yeah, I know, it seems like the next shmuck to come up with a mildly good "blankety-blank" and get a public following will end up with a major company buying them. Maybe I should do that.
