Features that didn't make it into Vista

MimesweeperMicrosoft's Shell Blog is running a self-effacing piece called Features that didn't make the cut, an amusing look at several features that were allegedly planned for Windows Vista but were removed for obvious reasons. Among them are Mimesweeper, a version of Minesweeper with "something that people also wanted to avoid finding," and a TECO code interpreter built into the Start menu. It's nice that Microsoft's developers have a sense of humor about all of the promised Vista features that won't see the light of day, but at the same time it makes their absence hurt that much more.
