Yahoo! Mail Beta open to the public
According to Read/Write Web, who has an exclusive podcast with Yahoo! Mail product manager Ethan Diamond, Yahoo released its new Mail Beta to the public on September 13th. The AJAX powered application is one of the best I have seen on the web to date. It functions much like Microsoft Outlook and includes a built-in RSS reader. Ethan Diamond has a quick screencast so you can see the type of features the new Yahoo Mail has. I have been beta testing it for some time, and I agree that it is very good. Tabbed messaging is something not even the new (2007) version of Outlook has, and Yahoo does it well.
With Halloween fast approaching, it's a great time to get in some practice defending your territory against zombies. In Graveyard Shift, you take aim at zombies and other creepy-crawlies, blasting them into splatters of cartoony green guts. It's a casual first-person shooter, and it's very easy to get the hang of - use the mouse to aim, click to fire. Graveyard Shift has at least 15 levels, and it might even have some secret stages I haven't unlocked yet.

I have been using the Beta since it first was offered. However, recently I am having trouble getting attached files to download (doc, ppt, pdf, xls)...not every time, but most of the time. On my other computer, these same files download OK, so its something to do with the first computer. I'm using XP. Any suggestions?

i can not get to my yahoo mail...for two days..says i have a virus but my system says no ?? it locks the whole pc up when i try to see my mail..what am i to do to retrieve important mail..any one know, blessings and thanks
