Foxit Reader 2.0 released!
Yesterday I started waiting for an Adobe Acrobat PDF file to open. I am still waiting for the thing to open. Alright, you got me, I actually end-tasked it, 86'd it, killed the process, you get the idea. I don't have the time or patience to put up with that. Adobe Acrobat Reader has some issues, like loading a file quickly, not crashing the browser, things like that. Foxit Reader puts Adobe Acrobat Reader in its place, that's right the gar-bage. We told first you about Foxit back in 2005, but the new version was just released, now Foxit 2.0. Foxit Software's website also got a complete make-over as well. Foxit Reader is free for download, and did I mention I am un-installing Adobe's Reader right now? Ahhh, that feel better. Foxit rocks it![Thanks, Spluch!]

Ever tried to print with this proggy? In that case you would have never put the adobe reader with the garbage.
My 2cnts: Use Foxit to read, Adobe to print your pdf-files.

The Foxit image/logo above links to the 'Webmonkey: How to write your first Firefox extension' article (or was when I wrote this) and not http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php as I suspect it should ;)

Just tried Foxit 2.0: _Bold_ text esp. in headings looks ugly on the _screen_ and on paper; letter 'u' is lower than the other lower-case letters; letters are too close to each other and un-evenly spaced. No match for Acroread. Example file used: http://www.admin.ch/ch/d/sr/7/780.1.de.pdf (sorry, German [law] text, but it's only the appearance that matters).

#4, strawbeard, I'm no typography expert but I opened your link with FI2.0 and it looked fine and clean. Most importantly, it opened wicked fast!
Heck, I just want a reader that operates quick, without all gunk that comes with Acrobloat. You may not uninstall Acrobloat, but I think you'll come to appreciate the efficiency of FI as your default reader.
