This is a unique approach by a large broadcaster, leveraging the content they are already producing to provide for more streams of revenue, and aiding in the growth of revenue for other web publishers by harnessing the power of Internet content.

I wonder how long it will be until they are asked to change the name by the American courts to avoid confusion with the BBC?

The BBC? Unless NBBC starts spouting anti-American rhetoric, I doubt there will be much confusion.
